Armenia relies on three carriers: Viva-MTS (best national coverage), Ucom and Team Telecom Armenia. 4G is excellent in Yerevan and solid in the regions, and internet penetration exceeds 78 % (source: ITU DataHub, 2024). Outside the EU roaming zone: without an eSIM, data is billed at premium rates.
- ●Excellent 4G in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor. Good coverage around Lake Sevan, in Dilijan and along the main roads. Towards Tatev, Noravank and the Syunik mountain roads, the signal follows the valleys and vanishes in the gorges: the Tatev cable car (Wings of Tatev) stays covered.
