Holafly is a Spanish travel eSIM provider launched in 2019. Originally positioned on physical travel SIM cards (still sold in some markets), Holafly pivoted to eSIM in 2020, becoming one of the first European players to offer unlimited data plans aimed at long-stay travellers, digital nomads and holiday families.

How do I activate a Holafly eSIM ?▾
After payment, Holafly emails a QR code within seconds. iPhone : Settings → Cellular → Add plan → scan QR. Android : Settings → Network & internet → SIM → Download SIM. Activation triggers on the first attach to the foreign network : do not activate before you land so the plan validity is not wasted.
Does Holafly work in China ?▾
Yes, China is covered, but Google, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube are blocked by the Great Firewall even via Holafly. Install a VPN (NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Mullvad) on your phone BEFORE departure. Alternative : the "China with VPN included" Holafly variant.
Can I use WhatsApp, TikTok and hotspot with Holafly ?▾
WhatsApp : yes on all plans (except China without VPN). TikTok : yes on all plans except those with an explicit limit in the detail. Hotspot sharing : allowed on most Holafly plans, with a typical cap of 500 MB to 1 GB per day depending on the country. The "hotspot" field is shown on each Datadopt offer page.

Can I make calls and send SMS with Holafly ?▾
Not on the classic eSIM plans : they are data only. For calls and SMS, use WhatsApp / FaceTime / Google Voice over Holafly data. Alternative : the "Connect by Holafly" line (available in the US/UK/ES) which includes a real temporary number.
Does Holafly refund if there is a problem ?▾
Yes, full refund as long as the eSIM is not activated (contact support within 30 days). After activation : pro-rata refund for a proven malfunction, never for regular usage. Always test the data before using it heavily.
