How do I install and activate an aloSIM eSIM?▾
Two options. Automatic installation via the aloSIM app (iOS and Android): open the app, select your plan, tap "Install", and the eSIM sets itself up. Manual installation by QR code: the QR code is sent by email after payment. On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → scan the QR code. On Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Download a SIM. Activation triggers on the first connection to the foreign network, not before.
When should I install and activate the aloSIM eSIM: before or after the trip?▾
Install before you leave (at home, on Wi-Fi) to confirm that the QR code works and that the eSIM shows up on your phone.
