Malta has roughly 92% internet penetration and 4G/5G mobile coverage exceeding 99% of the population (source: ITU DataHub, 2024). Three carriers share the market: GO (incumbent, ~40%), Epic (formerly Vodafone Malta, ~30%) and Melita (~30%). Commercial 5G covers the entire archipelago since late 2022.
- ●Excellent 4G/5G across the entire main island (Valletta, Sliema, St Julian's, Mdina, Mosta, Rabat, Marsaxlokk, Birgu, Cospicua, Senglea, Birżebbuġa) as well as Gozo (Victoria/Rabat, Mġarr, Marsalforn, Xagħra, Xlendi, Dwejra) and Comino (Blue Lagoon, Crystal Lagoon). The archipelago is just 27 km north to south : no meaningful coverage gaps.
