Montenegro relies on three carriers: Crnogorski Telekom (Deutsche Telekom), m:tel and One. 4G covers the coast and cities very well, 5G is live in dense areas, and internet penetration exceeds 85 % (source: ITU DataHub, 2024). The country uses the euro but is NOT in the EU: European roaming does not apply.
- ●Excellent 4G along the entire Adriatic coast: Kotor, Budva, Sveti Stefan, Herceg Novi, Bar and Ulcinj. Very good in Podgorica and Nikšić. In the mountains (Durmitor, Prokletije, Tara canyon), signal concentrates on villages and roads: Žabljak is covered, the trails only partially.
- ●Average mobile speed around 40–70 Mbps download (Ookla, 2025).
- ●No blocked services: Google, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, Netflix work normally.
