Aruba has a high internet penetration rate, around 95%, driven by a tourism economy and a compact island (source: ITU DataHub). Two carriers share the market: Setar (state-owned, dominant) and Digicel. Setar offers good 4G coverage and has deployed 5G, one of the first in the Dutch Caribbean. Nearly the whole island is covered, so a small plan is often enough for a stay.
- ●Excellent 4G/5G in Oranjestad (capital), along the Palm Beach and Eagle Beach hotel strip, in San Nicolas (street murals) and on the main roads. Weaker signal in the wild parts of Arikok National Park (rugged east coast, the Natural Pool / Conchi; Baby Beach stays fine) and near the California Lighthouse.
- ●Great for a rental car or buggy trip in Arikok: download Google Maps offline, coverage there is patchier than in the beach areas. Elsewhere, data stays fast and stable.
