How do I activate a CloudOn eSIM?▾
After payment, CloudOn sends a QR code by email and makes it available in the app. On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → scan the QR. On Android: Settings → Network and internet → SIMs → Download a SIM. The plan starts on the first connection to the foreign network: do not activate before landing so you preserve the validity period.
Does CloudOn work in China?▾
Yes, China is covered, but Google, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube remain blocked by the Great Firewall even via CloudOn. Install a VPN (NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Mullvad) on your phone BEFORE departure. Some plans that exit via Hong Kong are less filtered: check the details before buying.
Can I use WhatsApp, TikTok and tethering with CloudOn?▾
